a friend gave me this book. it is about an indian girl (dot, not feather :) who is living in the L.A. area and finds out that she is the incarnation of the hindu goddess kali. should be a quick read.

a breath of snow and ashes by Diana Gabaldon
the new book in the outlander series about jamie and claire. just started it, but i am sure i will LOVE it like i loved all the others.
i just finished the book last night, and it was fantastic. looking back to everything that happened in this book, i find it amazing that Gabaldon is able to fit in so many outrageous things in the book and it doesn't seem outrageous at all :) i have to say that i have gone from loving jamie and claire to just loving brianna and roger :) READ THIS SERIES!!!!!

Million Little Pieces by James Frey
the new oprah book. it was really good. i read it on the plane rides to and from vegas. it was fascinating to read about addiction and recovery. read this book!

Notes from My Travels by Angelina Jolie
really interesting book. its about her travels with the UNHCR (UN High Commissioner for Refugees) it is heartbreaking what these refugees are going through.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire
fantastic book. i originally read it 3 1/2 years ago on my honeymoon to florida and the bahamas. i am re-reading it because i saw the musical for my birthday and since i couldn't remember the details of it i decided to re-read it to see how close to the
musical it was. well the musical is similar, but like all movies it did not include all the wonderful detail that the book has. the book was much better than i remembered.
